Revolutionizing the browser user experience

Ian McKellar (Flock Inc)
Browser technology Foyer Room

These days when we browse the web we spend a lot of time interacting with other people, using rich web applications and following rapidly changing content. Ten years ago we mostly just read static web pages and discovered content though centrally edited directories. Web browsers haven’t kept up with the change in the way the web is built and used. In Flock we’re trying to evolve the traditional web browser model into something that will empower users to create, share and consume content in intuitive ways.

In this session I will present the Flock browser and demonstrate how it currently allows users to use a variety of web services more easily by incorporating them into the browser user experience. I will show how it is possible to integrate new web services with Flock easily and I will discuss where the Flock team plans to take the browser in the future.
